Outer Banks season 2 episode 3 Honest Review And Detailed Recap

Episode Recap

Outer Banks Season 2 Episode 3 gets off to a rough start with Sarah. John B makes a big decision and calls Terrance for help. When they arrive, Terrance gives them his car while John B climbs to get Sarah medical attention. It’s pretty touch and go considering the circumstances, and Terrance knows it. He gives John B 8 hours, but if he is not at the pier, then he leaves.

On their way to the docks, the trio make sure to hide the gold from the coast guard while loading. Well, even though the guys wanted to double-cross John B at first, they are true to their word and waiting for them to show.

John B speeds through the streets, desperate to help Sarah. Finally, after being given some gold, they turn to a shady doctor who agrees to perform the operation. Although she recovers after the initial operation, Sarah suddenly goes into cardiac arrest.

As the heart monitor settles, the doctor turns off the machine, certain that Sarah is dead, and leaves. John B refuses to give up and tells Sarah he loves her. Through the power of love (and some alternate CPR), Sarah regains consciousness.

Meanwhile, the Pope is met by a suitable man from the Vanderhorst Foundation. He hands over the envelope, where it turns out that the seal on the back is the same gold one – the symbol of wheat. Inside is a letter confirming that there is evidence that could help exonerate John B. To find out what it is, the Pope must visit alone that evening at 8:00 p.m.

Kiara’s parents aren’t exactly happy with the news of their daughter’s departure, but the trio break up anyway. Unfortunately, their car breaks down on the road and they find themselves stuck.

Back in Nassau, the police show up at the docks. However, John B and Sarah also manage to show up, but they are too late. The gold is seized and confiscated by the police. But their long drive leads to big problems, as the police figure out who the couple are and chase them.

As they charge through the streets, they drive Cleo—literally. The trio who captured him managed to escape. As they do so, Rafe and Ward head to the port where they claim the gold for themselves.

Back at square one, Sarah and John B manage to board another boat, Cleo decides to part ways given the heat of the two. At sea, Sarah decides to take John B up on his earlier proposal, and the pair are unofficially married.

  Episode Review

The third episode of Outer Banks begins to return to this cat-and-mouse chase, as John B and Sarah are once again on the run from the authorities and stranded at sea. Worse, they have no more gold.

There are still question marks over the exact whereabouts of Terrance and Stubbs, and despite the gunshots, I don’t think this is the last we’ve seen of these guys.

Meanwhile, Kie, Papa, and JJ continue their busy job hunt by heading out to see the foundation. This story feels like the weakest plot right now, but it remains to be seen if there’s more to it than simple busyness.

Either way, Outer Banks has been just as enjoyable in this second season, with more action-packed shenanigans and plenty of drama. Go to the next chapter!
