Outer Banks season 2 episode 2 Honest Review And Detailed Recap

Episode Recap

Outer Banks Season 2 Episode 2 John B begins with serious danger. How will he get out of this situation? Well, Sarah immediately hits the sprinklers and pretends to be working at home. It’s just a distraction kids need to pick up their gear and rush off.

Although they manage to escape, Sarah is not satisfied with John B’s lies. After that, he will be the person in charge.

Meanwhile, JJ, Papa and Kiera continue their scouting mission. With a video camera in hand, they film Ward and Gavin’s meeting from a distance. Things inevitably get heated as Ward ends up beating Gavin up, leaving him in a bloody mess.

Handing over the money, Ward grabs the gun and shoots Gavin in cold blood, especially when he becomes hostile towards the man and calls out Rafe as a murderer. All of this is recorded, although the gun eventually ends up in the drain outside. Kiara makes the completely ridiculous decision to yell at Ward, which in turn causes the camera to break as the group struggles to hide from Ward.

Kiara calls the police and summons them, but the place is clear. There are no bodies or blood, which confuses Shoupe when he shows up to investigate. He decides that children are making things up. He’s also unimpressed when he finds out they wired Gavin’s car. As things look bleak, Pope privately suggests that they set out and retrieve the gun.

JJ and Papa urge Ki to enter the sewers and wade through the filth to find the gun. That’s easier said than done, especially when Kie finds something dead in the sewer.

Rafe is on the ground and hears her cry. He decides to wipe out the group by turning on the water and trapping him underground. The pair struggle to get the swell up to speed, but thankfully manage to do so at the last second. Better yet, Kiara has a gun.

The boys bring him to Shoupe at the station, but he refuses to even check the firearm. Kie is convinced that he was bribed, and Papa calls him out for not doing his job. Finally, Shoupe checks who the firearm belongs to and learns it is none other than Ward Cameron.

Talking about this, Ward wakes Rafe up in the middle of the night and brings him outside. She needs help to hide Gavin’s body. Ward takes Rafe to the Bahamas and shows off all the gold he has hidden there. He warns her about the gold and confirms that it is enough to save the family from their financial hardship.

Meanwhile, Sarah uses her connections at home to come up with a plan. This includes the interception of gold en route to a private air carrier. Sarah and John will set their trap, deciding to have Terrance help distract Cleo while B takes the gold. That’s the plan anyway.

As Ward and Rafe pack up the gold and prepare to leave, Sarah and John prepare to put Plan B into action. It also seems to work with Rafe and Ward being separated from their escorts. Cleo and Terrance pose as road workers, eventually forcing Rafe and Ward out of their car at gunpoint.

John B and Sarah jump at the chance, but things go wrong. Sarah and John grab the truck and drive off, Cleo and Terrance following behind. The couple elegantly hides in the products, but there is a problem – Sarah has been shot.

  Episode Review

The Outer Banks returns and this time finds Sarah taking the reigns of the operation, she hatches a plan with Terrance and the crew to retrieve the gold and everything goes swimmingly. That is, until he gets shot by none other than Rafe at the end of the episode.

John B and Sarah’s story has been pretty exciting and action-packed up to this point, although you have to suspend some disbelief when it comes to the police and bystanders who don’t recognize John B’s face.

Meanwhile, the truth about the firearm seems to be that Shoupe is now on her way to trusting the children after learning who the firearm belongs to.

Either way, this cliffhanger leaves everything wide open for the rest of the season.
