Tully remembers a time when her mother was high while her parole officer was on the road. He enlists Keith’s help. His hippie friends are kicked out and the house is cleaned. The only problem is that Cloud’s latest boyfriend, Leo, has overdosed on his couch. Tully is furious, but Kate offers to keep his body in the closet.
The body is too heavy for them to carry upstairs, so they hide it in a small closet under the stairs. The parole officer arrives and Cloud is sober enough to meet him. After the officer leaves, Tully realizes that Cloud will never be her mother and protect her. Keith assures her that he will always be there.
As they ponder what to do with the body, Leon wakes up. Thankfully, he wasn’t dead, and they’re glad they didn’t have to exhume him.

At his funeral, Tully shows up and Kate asks him to leave. Tully decides to visit her old home on Firefly Lane. Although Kate misses Tully, she refuses to contact him and hopes to leave their friendship in the past.

Episode Review
Throughout this episode, you can feel the pain both ladies feel when they are apart. It’s clear that the end of their friendship has taken a toll on them. Both try to deal with pain differently. At first, I wondered if Kate should forgive Tully, but I think Tully honestly deserves a second chance.
They have a deep history and it’s understandable why Kate goes to Tully’s apartment when she feels her world is falling apart around her. Even when he got engaged, the first person he wanted to tell was Tully.
Although the breakup was hard on him, I feel Tully has grown as a person. He tried to be better and better. The only questions left are whether Tully will go to Antarctica or stay behind to help Kate during her cancer treatment. Ultimately, we can’t help but wonder, does Kate survive?
