Delivery By Christmas (2022) Plot Synopsis
Christmas Delivery is an enjoyable Christmas watch with some heartwarming components. Not every hero wears a cape, and here in this flick, we see that not every Santa has a sleigh.
The storyline of the Polish tale refers to issues such as family ties, the relevance of relationships, as well as the effects of misunderstanding. It incorporates a number of these elements to comprehensively portray the lives of both the main characters and the supporting cast. Each subplot is adequately resolved in the film. So let’s find out how the central characters are affected by the delivery of the Christmas decision:
What drives the film’s plot?
Among all the other packages that Maria needs to deliver, she has one for Krzysztof, which she runs into while doing so. Maria’s delivery ends up in the wrong accommodations as a result of her crazy behavior after rejecting her boss’s advances.
Krzysztof finds Maria after realizing he doesn’t have the right package with the ring to pop the question to his partner. They went halfway to revisiting each of the delivery locations.
What about secondary characters?
When a young man’s family learns that he has impregnated Milena, their world changes irrevocably. His parents believe that Mirek should be tougher and take more responsibility.
Another client, Estera, feels obligated to remain in a sexless union. Her husband, Eryk, only watches wildlife programs and loves to travel. When her clothes start falling apart, Esther visits a tailor. Since he and the tailor have a good relationship, he also gives her a Christmas present. Misinterprets the situation after receiving the wrong delivery. However, everything turns out perfect because Esther shares the same feelings.
How does the mixing of packages affect the characters in the drama?
Maria and Krzysztof struggle to come together as they often disagree on topical issues and eventually continue to argue. The two accomplish what can only be described as a Christmas miracle by delivering all the presents to their respective recipients.
No matter how great the disaster, everyone benefits constructively. Mirak’s parents kicked him out of the house in hopes that he would figure out how to take on a few responsibilities. Milena eventually helps him come to terms with his individuality and freedom. Esther is given the opportunity to explore her sexual preferences and discover her true desires.
Are Maria and Krzysztof finally together?
When Maria brings a package to the office, Maria’s son Maxiu runs to the toilet and finds Krzysztof. Maxiu’s paths eventually cross with Maria and Krzysztof. In order to ask her lover to marry her, the latter requires her grandmother’s ring. Therefore, Krzysztof asks Maria to take him.
Maria also delivers Krzysztof’s present along with other packages in the last days of Christmas. Maria takes a picture of herself on the balcony for the first time. Witnessing how much her neighbors care and value each other, Maria longs for closeness in her life.
Maria and Krzysztof recently spent the day together delivering parcels to the right addresses despite the confusion about the parcels. Although they have completely different personalities, they are more compatible when faced with challenges. While Maria is a contented woman who is spontaneous by nature, Krzysztof is a sensitive, well-organized person.
As they get out of the police car, they seem to have an intimate moment together. Maria and Krzysztof are aware of their chemistry but don’t do anything about it.
At the film’s resolution, Maria throws the ring into the river bed, and we witness the pair discussing their emotional problems. Krzysztof just ended his relationship, so he doesn’t start a relationship with Maria.
Although they have different beliefs and opinions, they enjoy the day there because they can see the good in each other. Krzysztof sees Maria’s devotion to her child and motherly love. Maria is grateful that Krzysztof spent the whole day helping her.
Why did Maria throw the ring into the river?
Maria can tell that Krzysztof is upset that he can’t give Zuzia the ring. He takes the ring that Maria took out earlier, we assume after her relationship ended. Even if he loses his loyalty enough to reconcile with Zuzia, he searches for his grandmother’s ring the entire time to pop the question to his mate.
He chooses not to give the ring to Krzysztof because his grandfather is aware of it. Krzysztof moves into his grandfather’s apartment after his relationship with Zuzia ends.
We think Maxiu’s father gave that ring to Maria. He is neither referenced nor seen in the film. But Maria admits the ring represents the emotional weight she wants to let go of.
As a result of the split, he also becomes Krzysztof’s burden. So when Krzysztof gives the ring back to Maria, she throws it into the water as a sign of closure. Using the ring as a symbol of emotional burden, Maria and Krzysztof start over with a clean slate after the ring is discarded.
