Andor Season 1

Episode Number 12 Preview and Review

Episode 12 of Andor begins with Daedra arriving at Ferrix, deciding to check out how they intend to handle the funeral. Bix is also still being held captive and appears – at least so far – not to have compromised the rebellion.

Dedra is accompanied by Corv as she informs him of the funeral and procession site. A maximum of 40 people can participate, increased from 30 thanks to the Ferrix Girls.

They consider placing snipers in vantage points, but Meero refuses, wanting Cassian alive. As for his superiors, they just want to send a message, no matter what.

What’s going on with Mon? Is his driver a mole?

Mon Mothma is under a lot of stress, and it gets worse when Perry starts gambling again. She shrugs it off and pretends to be in control, but Mon worries about the money and where she got the funds from. Despite their drivers asking Cloris for privacy, she accidentally overhears them. In fact, Cloris actually works as a mole and reports to the Empire. Interestingly, Mon knows and deliberately brings up the gambling game to throw off the scent of the empire.

Cloris arrives to see Blevin, repeating what Mon and Perry said in the backseat. Blevin wonders if his words are related to gambling debts or Perry’s lie. Given their strange financial dealings, Blevin instructs Chlorine to continue listening.

Andor captured? Or is it invisible?

Cassian Andor is already in Ferrix and ready for the upcoming funeral, unaware that the Empire is lying in wait and ready to pounce if they spot him. Andor manages to avoid the prying eyes of the Imperial soldiers and soon learns from Pegla that Bix has been captured and is currently being tortured.

Andor secretly meets with Brasso, Brasso sends a message from Maarve, telling him that he believes Andor will be an unstoppable force of good and that he “loves him more than anything he can do wrong” and is prepared to die for it. may cause, and do not give up any information which may incriminate the rebellion.

  Does Andor save Bix?

Andor, however, refuses to let Bix suffer this fate. He grabs the gun and prepares to save her. Meanwhile, Lüten arrives on the planet and speaks with Vel, updating him on the funeral and what will happen if Andor is captured. With a few hours left for the procession, they conclude that the hotel is the best place to look for Andor’s eclipse.

But unexpectedly, the bell suddenly rings, followed by a marching band. This is happening all over the city, the numbers are piling up and forcing the Imperial soldiers to move to get the people off the streets.

Andor happens to be watching from inside and looks out the window, watching the hooded Lute. As the Imperial soldiers line up and prepare to hold them off, waves of humans begin to advance towards them. Before B2EMO sets up a hologram of Maarva to broadcast to the masses, the song “stone and sky” echoes through the air.

  What happens at a funeral?

“I am honored to be Ferrix’s daughter,” she said, continuing to talk about Ferrix’s history and role in this growing rebellion. “I was always waiting to be inspired and now I’m dead. I intend to raise you and let Ferrix grow.” Her rousing speech continues, and those in Ferricks are mesmerized as her rebellious words reach out to the individuals, telling them to stop sleeping and get up. This allows Andor to sneak in to rescue Bix.

“Fight the Empire” Maarva ends as soon as it begins. Those in the streets start rioting, leading to one of the men throwing an explosive, which causes a chain reaction of other explosions along the street. As the music cuts out (for a few minutes anyway) and the sound of screams and jokes fills the air, a beautiful sound design ensues.

In the wake of all this drama and destruction, Cinta stabs Corv, Andor fights Bix to leave the city, and Dedra is captured by Syril and saved from the mobs who want to go out with her. And Luten happens when watching from a distance.

How does Andor season 1 end?

A group of survivors reach a nearby ship. Andor decides to stay on Ferrix while Bix takes out B2EMO and a few other survivors. He promises to find them all in time.

Meanwhile, Mon decides to propose that his daughter marry Davo Skuldun’s son, while Lüten speeds away from the city. Returning to his ship, Kasian finds himself in the presence of Andor.

Andor knows that Lute has been sent to kill him, and the former volunteers to offer himself up. Luten smiles in disbelief and ends this great confrontation into the abyss.

 Is there a post-credits sequence?

There really is! During the post-credits sequence, we see the droids working on what will eventually become the Death Star.

  Episode Review

Andor’s first season is on a high note with plenty of talking points and plenty to look forward to in season two. It’s unfortunate that this show doesn’t have a larger audience, but Disney can only be blamed for their handling of the Star Wars IP over the years.

Although Andor fluctuates between a slow burn thriller and just a slow burn, and like I said before, it’s one of those shows that benefits from dropping a few episodes a week to keep interest high.

While all of the characters are well fleshed out and Cassian doesn’t have the charisma needed to really pull off the Han Solo-esque role that the creators are clearly aiming for, the other players involved are interesting and have compelling stories.

With a second season already greenlit, if this is the direction Star Wars is headed next, we’re all for it!
